Instagram post 2180587685588888525_4581164175 At Recharge, we are very purposeful with programming. Every 3 months is a new cycle. The start of the cycle has a daily "baseline test" workout. 
Then members undergo 3 months of programming developed by our physical therapist coaches. 
At the end of the cycle members redo the baseline test workouts during re-test week. 
This allows for objective measure of progress. 
This is day 1 of Re-test week for Cycle 9.

We know that a group fitness has many health benefits. Not only due to the fitness part. The social element helps with motivation, enjoyment, and fun. 
What about couples that train together?
There is overwhelming evidence that shows working out with a significant other has health and relationship benefits. From improved performance to attraction, training together should be relationship goals.

Starting the health journey is a challenge. 
So, does starting mean you’re guaranteed success?

No. 
Becoming healthy requires starting the journey. 
Remaining healthy or getting healthier requires persistence, consistency, and sustainability. 
Going from unhealthy to healthy is a big shift, it’s easily felt. Staying there requires grit and commitment. 
Our goal is attain daily wins to sustain for big picture health.

Instagram post 2156904254661326529_4581164175 Imagine going to the book store (or Amazon if that's your thing) and picking a book based on the title, cover, and description. You start reading the book and as you finish a chapter the next chapter has NOTHING to do with overall story. 
You keep reading hoping it makes sense, yet it never comes together. By the end you are confused, and distraught that spent all that time hoping it would make sense.

Now, exchange book for non-purposeful fitness/health. By the time potential members make it to Recharge they've read several aforementioned "books." If you start your health and fitness journey but there is no cohesive narrarative you will have a challenging time understanding what's happening.

At Recharge, each day is part of a bigger story. We program 3 months in advance and each workout builds towards a greater narrative.

If you are going to invest your time into one of the most important stories, your health, make it worthwhile.

When there is psychological safety you feel accepted. 
Being willing to work out within a group, to attempt new movements, and/or to challenge oneself requires psychological safety. 
Each Recharge member has unique goals, strengths, and struggles. That’s not a negative. It’s a reality. 
We encourage embracing a sustainable process by implementing a tangible system based on support and objective data. 
Individual growth happens in parallel with community bonding. We are all in this together, and together we will all benefit.

You have so much information readily available and easily accessible. 
But what good is knowledge without relevance? 
How effective is information if it’s not timely and specific?

Communicating the right information, at the right time, to the right person is or at least should be the goal. 
Having that person understand and integrate that information leads to success. 
We get to know each of our members. Our members know every Recharge physio coach. 
Through continuity of care and coaching we can deliver relevant feedback at the right time. 
This is Recharge. This is modern health and fitness.

Studies show that less social connection results in diminished overall health.
At Recharge we prioritize relationships and authentic social connection.
Together, even better.
Connections can be friends and neighbors finding each other as members at Recharge.
It's also couples in relationships coming together, and experiencing a new level of support and encouragement. For each other, and others in the group.
Together, even better.
And of course, it's strangers connecting and realizing that they have so much more in common than they thought. That they share similar fears and dreams. And a community is formed.

That question, or a form of it, is one of the first things we ask when someone is interested in joining Recharge.

The most common answers are backwards broad, and forward hazy.
I want to "get back to xyz..." Why? "I used to be able to do xyz..." This is a form of a mental time machine. 
We can get stuck in the past, and be frustrated (or fearful) of yet to happen future potentials.

The past does not guarantee the future, whether its success or failure. Though it can certainly help structure a framework.

Again, why are you here?

This becomes even more challenging to answer once you are forced off the time machine.

Your current situation is a great starting point.

This very moment is real and tangible. It can be an objective starting point that becomes the baseline for ongoing progression.

Even more so, it becomes the foundational starting pin on which you can build on.

For most the building part becomes a challenge. An unknown.

That's where Recharge comes in.

Everything we create, from the programming to the clinical care, has the goal of sustainability.

Every day is an opportunity to build on the last and towards the next.

One day at a time, we help our members attain small victories in order to sustain towards bigger goals.

And even though we have so many different people, they are all incredibly similar. Joined together to form an authentic community that cares and supports each other. 
Even more so, a commonality exists that many if not all share. 
It’s the challenge, and for some the struggle, to begin. 
For some, the challenge is because of past experiences, or a fear of the unknown. 
For others, it’s a challenge to be vulnerable. 
If this is you, know that once you dare to begin, you will be wholly and completely welcomed to a supportive, understanding, and caring community.
